Augustine B. Amara
The current Chief Administrator of Koidu New Sembehun City Council, KNSCC for short, Mr. Augustine B. Amara has served in the local council systems for a considerable time. His long standing services in the local government operations, has enhanced him the position of veteran Chief Administrator in the decentralization processes in Sierra Leone.
Prior to his recruitment into the Local Government Service (Local Councils), he served in the capacity as Civil Society Activist with MoRRD –SL Volunteers in Kenema District from 2004 to 2007. He served as an Admin Officer during his stay with the said Organization.
Mr. Amara was recruited as Deputy Chief Administrator in August, 2007. He served in that capacity from 2007 to 2017. During this period, he worked in the following Local Councils; Kenema District Council, Moyamba District Council and Bo City Council respectively. Based on his outstanding performance and his dedication to service delivery, he was promoted to an acting Chief Administrator in Bo District Council in July, 2017. He was later transferred to Koinadugu District Council in the capacity as Chief Administrator in July, 2018. He was transferred to Koidu New Sembehun City Council in July, 2024.
He has attended several in-service training, seminars, workshops etc., in and out of Sierra Leone.
He is a man of self-esteem, approachable, pragmatic, integrity, and a God fearing person.
